In Math, we are working in Topic 11: Subtract within 1,000 using models and strategies. Keep practicing the basic subtraction facts to help with mastery of these more complex problem-solving strategies being learned.

We are working on a descriptive Writing Workshop this week. Your child will be bringing home some English homework to draft, edit, and proofread their work this week. They will write about a favorite place. The English book has checklists to follow in order to help them complete these tasks. We hope to have some fantastic descriptive writing projects to hang in the hall at the end of the week or soon after. You can help them by encouraging them to do their best as they make good word choices, including many sensory words, adjectives, and adverbs in their writing.

Please continue to encourage your child to regularly check their iReady Lesson Minutes for each week and to complete 45 minutes in Reading and Math.
