We are excited about our field trip this Wednesday to see Once Upon A Mattress performed by Marist Theater students. On that day, we will have a later lunch, so please make sure your child has plenty for breakfast. Students should be dressed in their regular St. Linus school uniform.

Operation Rice Bowl is underway. Your child brought home a cardboard coin bank with information about our Lenten mission and was asked to make a Lenten sacrifice by donating as much as they can. These banks will be collected on Friday, March 31.

Artsy people, we need your creativity and help! Did you see the information sent home about the 2017 Kentucky Derby Art Auction project? If you can volunteer some time and ideas, please contact Jamie Spirakes at 708 670-8818 or jspirajkes@hotmail.com.

As you are probably aware, Aspire testing takes place during the first week in April. Individual subject area tests are scheduled for a part of each morning on Monday through Thursday. Makeup tests for any absences will take place on Friday, 4/7. Please help your child be successful by making sure they are well-rested on test days. Most of our class seems confident about these upcoming tests, but a few are expressing some anxiety about their performance. We have been doing some practice questions in class so that the kids are familiar with the test format. Please reassure your child, as I have, that their scores have no bearing on their grades, and they only need to do the best they can.
