Four Weekly Selection Vocabulary words that will be featured in our main reading selection and Friday's test are:

shivered, snuggled, drooled, lanterns

This week's main reading selection is realistic fiction titled Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night. As part of our weekly routine and preparation for assessment, students are asked to read the story aloud to an adult at home the evening before our weekly test. They will have read the story twice in class by this time and should be familiar with most of the words, but some may still need support. Reading the same story multiple times builds fluency and confidence.

A reminder...

Any parent who would like to volunteer for class parties, field trips, etc. needs to complete Virtus training (once) and the CANTS form (annually.) Ms. Hayes has announced that the first class who has all their CANTS forms turned in will get an ice cream day! There will also be a prize for 2nd and 3rd place.

Please note the Reconciliation Meeting on the school calendar for this Monday, 9/10 at 7 p.m. in Church. This is an informational meeting for parents. At least one parent should attend. Children do not need to be present, but may attend with a parent if necessary.
