Yesterday, you looked over your first draft and worked with a content editor (partner) to come with some ideas for improving your first draft. Today in class, we read about revising the content of our drafts (text pages 280-281.) Your homework is to make content revisions on your first draft. Do not rewrite your draft. If you double-spaced your first draft as you were asked to, you should have plenty of room to write your changes. If not, use the margins of your paper. Use the "Your Turn" section on p. 281 to guide you in this work. Look at the notes your partner gave you and think about using their suggestions. Remember, you do not have to make the changes your partner suggested, but you should consider them. Don't worry about fixing your spelling or grammar yet. We are simply editing the content of our first draft. You may want to ask Mom or Dad to look over your revised first draft and get their opinion of your work so far.

Please remember to bring your textbook and all your work to class on Friday. We will be doing some copyediting and proofreading, so you will need your materials with you. Your final work for publication will not be due until next Tuesday.
