News for the Week of April 30 - May 4

Post date: Apr 27, 2018 8:39:38 PM

This week we will review Unit 5 skills and take a Unit 5 Benchmark Test on Thursday or Friday, so there will be no weekly Spelling or Reading Test.

In Math, we have learned to multiply 2-, 3-, and 4-digit numbers by a single-digit number, with regrouping! This week we are headed down the road toward long division. Keep practicing multiplication facts regularly, or long division could be a struggle.

The kids are getting excited about our upcoming field trip to Naper Settlement. If you have not returned the permission form with payment, it is due on Monday, 4/30. Thanks.

Please support your child as they research their chosen historical figure for our History Comes Alive! event. As work is being completed, the checklist in the packet will keep them on track as they complete their research, trifold posters, speeches, and costumes for the big day. Do not let your child put off the work they need to do until the last few days, or their project will be a source of frustration rather than an enjoyable experience for them.

Are you ready for our Spring Concert? The children have prepared some fabulous pieces and we hope you can be hear to enjoy them! The concert takes place this Tuesday, May 1 at 1:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!
