Our main reading selection is called Supermarket. Tested vocabulary words from this selection are: laundry, section, shelves, spoiled, store, thousands, traded, and variety.

We will be finish our first English section covering Sentences, and will have a test this week, likely on Wednesday.

On Friday we had our first Social Studies test. These tests are pretty challenging for 3rd graders early in the year, and they require good reading comprehension, so questions were read aloud and carefully explained. The children were allowed 15 minutes at the end of the test to use their study materials to check and change their responses. I'll post scores and send tests home to be signed next week.
