And the winners are...

We had a great time at the St. Linus Kids Derby festivities today! A big thanks to all the parents and business who contributed their time and talents to make this so much fun for our kids. We hope to see all the parents having a great time at the Derby Fundraiser on May 6. Thanks for all you do to bring the fine arts to our school in such amazing, creative ways!

For the week of May 1-5, there will be no reading main selection, weekly test, or spelling and vocabulary words. We have completed a reading unit and are reviewing and taking a unit test this week.

We have finished our study of Adjectives and will take an English Test on Tuesday.

We will finish up a Social Studies test this week and have a test on Friday.

Please encourage your child to continue to do their best as we work our way to the end of the school year. There is still a lot of learning to do, but some seem to have already "checked out," and their behavior and work is showing the effect of that.

We will continue our Fact Quizzies on Wednesdays and Fridays, but many students have mastered their multiplication facts through the 12s and are now doing more challenging division quizzes. Way to go! Keep practicing! We will begin working on double digit multiplication, so it is even more important that your child has mastery of their basic facts through the 12s. Thanks for all you do to help and encourage them.

Please keep the 2nd grade students and their families in your prayers as they receive their First Holy Communion this weekend. We are so proud of them and sent them lovely cards and letters to tell them so.
