News for November 13-17

Post date: Nov 13, 2017 1:16:40 PM

This week we will review skills learned in Reading Unit 2. There will be no new spelling words or weekly selection test. We will take a Unit Assessment at the end of the week.

In English, we have completed our study of Nouns and are doing a writing workshop on How-To Articles. When this project is complete, we will return to grammar and study Pronouns.

In Math, we are finishing a review of time concepts, including elapsed time. We will begin a chapter on data and graphs. I hope to begin our study of multiplication right after the Thanksgiving break. Students will need to memorize the basic multiplication facts and we will have weekly quizzes going forward to assess mastery.

We have finished a Social Studies unit on people in their communities. We will now switch our focus to studying plants in Science.
