Apple Crisp

Serves 6 to 8

Baking Temperature: 350 degrees

Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Granny Smith apples, sliced

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/3 cup flour

Crumble Topping:

  • 3/4 cup rolled oats

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 1/4 cup butter

Peel, core and cut the apples into 8ths and thinly slice with a knife. Estimate the right amount of apples by placing the pie dish in a plastic bag and putting the sliced apples into the plastic-covered dish. Once enough apples are sliced, set them aside for later in a large bowl.

Mix the sugar, salt, cinnamon, and flour in a large bowl. Add the apples and mix together. Place mixture in lightly greased dish.

Mix rolled oats, brown sugar, and flour together. Cut in the butter with a pastry blender. Crumble mixture on top of apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
