Steamed Vegetables

Serves 2

Common vegetable to steam are broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrots, and green beans.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vegetable
  • Water

Prepare vegetables by cutting or chopping to a good size for serving. Add vegetables to pot with an inch or two of water. If you are using broccoli, the stems are thicker and take longer to cook, so they should either be added first or placed on the bottom of the pot. Cover with a lid and steam until vegetables are fork tender.
