Creamy Fruit Salad

Formerly called "24 hour fruit salad"

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons white sugar

  • Salt

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

  • 12 large marshmallows, quartered (optional)

  • ~4 cup fruit (banana, grape, orange, pineapple, etc.)

  • ½ cup toasted almond slices

In double boiler, beat egg with fork, stir in lemon juice, sugar, and salt. Cook, stirring over hot water, 5 minutes, until thick.


Cool. Fold in cream, marshmallows, and fruit.


Refrigerate overnight.


Fold in almonds before serving. Leftovers are delicious if frozen in ice cube trays.
