Ingredients:
- 1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 oz (2 sticks) Crab/Krab meat, finely diced
- 1 Tbsp powdered sugar
- Pinch of salt, plus salt for finishing
- Won ton wrappers
- Shallow dish of water for sealing won tons
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
- Begin heating oil in pot to about 350-360 °F
- Carefully mix cream cheese, crab, powdered sugar, and pinch of salt until well incorporated.
- Lay out won ton wrappers, a few at a time. Add about 1 Tbsp of cream cheese mixture in the middle of wrapper. Dip finger in water and wet the outside edges of the wrapper. Fold in half by folding one corner across to the other. Push out as much air as possible and seal well. Repeat until you run out of cream cheese mixture.
- When the oil reaches temperature, drop rangoons into the oil a few at a time. Push/hold down if they float to the top and won't flip. Remove from oil when rangoons start to brown, a couple minutes total and place on paper towel.
- Immediately salt rangoons upon removal from oil.
- Cool before serving
