Ingredients:
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1½ cups granulated white sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into 1-tablespoon pieces
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions:
- Setup double boiler and melt chocolate in top bowl.
- Add Sugar, Butter, and Cocoa powder.
- Simmer and stir regularly for about 15 minutes (until everything comes together, should be gritty, but if left still butter will pool a little).
- Add Heavy Cream, stir continuously for 10 minutes and gradually add the vanilla.
- Remove from double boiler and consume.
