Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup caramel bits or chopped caramel candies (Chopped candies works best)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 pan
'Mix Flour, Baking Soda, and Salt together in a large bowl
Cream Butter and Sugars in a separate bowl until light soft
Add 1 egg at a time until entirely incorporated
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla until incorporated
Combine the dry and wet bowls until almost mixed (you'll see a bit of dry ingredients still in the mixture)
Add the Chocolate Chips and Caramel Candies to the mixture and mix until fully dispersed
Press the dough into the 9x13 pan (you don't need to make it perfectly flat, it will kind of level out)
Cook until the top/edges are browned. A toothpic/knife is not going to come out clean...it's got caramel in it.
Let cool a bit before serving
