Ingredients:
- 1-1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 Tbsp onion powder
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce - one regular, one basil, etc. flavored
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 oz. cream cheese, cubed and softened
- 1 tsp garlic salt (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp salt)
- Salt to taste
- 7 cups uncooked egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or more)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Boil egg noodles until al dente or just a bit over. Drain.
- Meanwhile, sprinkle onion powder over ground beef and cook in skillet. Drain
- In a bowl, place cubed cream cheese.
- Pour hot, drained beef over cream cheese and allow to soften.
- Add tomato sauces, sour cream, garlic salt, and extra salt if desired. Stir until combined.
- Spray 9x13 casserole dish with cooking spray. Pour 1/2 of noodles at bottom. Pour 1/2 of beef/sauce over noodles and sprinkle with enough cheese to bind layers. Top with remaining noodles, then remaining sauce, then remaining cheese.
- Bake until cheese is melted and casserole is hot throughout.
