Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Chopped caramel candies (the ones you have to unwrap every one)
Instructions:
Pre-heat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish
Cream butter and sugars until mixture is light and fluffy (longer than you would normally cream)
Beat in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated
Stir in the vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt
Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients, do not fully combine, there should be a bit of flour mixture left unmixed
Add the chocolate chips and caramels into the mix and finish mixing
LIGHTLY press the mixture into the 9x13 pan
Bake for anywhere between 30-60 minutes (yeah, this one is wierd, our oven takes almost an hour on this one). A knife won't come out clean because of the Chocolate Chips and Caramels, but you'll get the idea.
