Ingredients:
3/4 cup unsalted butter (1/2 stick + 1 stick), divided
1 large Onion, diced small
1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast, diced into bite-sized pieces
4 cloves garlic, finely sliced
2 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp turmeric
1 tbsp ground ginger or 1+ tablespoon fresh ginger, finely chopped
1 tsp salt, or to taste
1 tsp black pepper, or to taste
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, or to taste
1 cup heavy whipping cream
8oz can tomato sauce
Cooked Rice, for serving
Instructions:
Add 1/4 cup butter to large sauce pan, allow to melt (medium-high).
Add chopped onion's, and cook to soften/carmelize (~5 minutes) stirring intermittently.
Add chicken to pan, flip and stir until chicken is cooked.
Add garlic, stir, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add garam masala, cumin, tumeric, ginger, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and stir/combine.
Add remaining butter and heat until melted, stir frequently.
Add heavy cream and tomato sauce, stir to combine, simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
Taste and add additional spices if necessary.
Plate with Rice as base, top chicken with as much sauce as desired.
