Ingredients:
Filling:
- 1 box red velvet cake mix (and ingredients that go with box of cake mix, it says it on the box, so stop reading here for it)
- 1 cup cream cheese frosting (might I suggest Cream Cheese Frosting)
Coating:
- 2 Cups White Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup shortening
Directions:
- Bake cake mix according to instructions on box, LET FULLY COOL.
- Line a baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside.
- In a large bowl, break of cake into small pieces.
- Combine frosting and crumbled cake until everything is well mixed together.
- Shape into balls...it's not hard, just roll the mix around in your hand until they are balls.
- Put in freezer for 15 minutes.
- While freezing add White Chocolate chips and shortening to a sauce pan and melt everything together on medium low heat, stirring regularly.
- With a long spoon, dip cold balls into white chocolate and completely cover. Set on waxed paper to harden.
- Optional, drizzle with melted hard candy to make pretty...but lets be honest, we're not going for pretty here, we're going for tasty.
