Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour, spooned into measuring cups and leveled
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Stir dry ingredients together
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add eggs and cream again
- Stir in canned pumpkin until well incorporated
- Stir in dry ingredients just until incorporated
- Pour into two greased bread loaf pans
- Bake for 25 minutes
- Reduce oven temperature to 325 F
- Bake until inserted toothpick comes out clean, about 50-60 minutes total baking time - tent with foil if top begins to brown before middle is finished
