Ingredients (Rub):
- Lawry's Seasoning Salt
- Garlic Powder
- Pepper
Ingredients (Sauce):
- 18oz Bottle BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 4 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
- 1/2 Tablespoon Cumin
- 2 Teaspoons Oregano
- 2 Teaspoons Worcester Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
Recipe scales easily to racks of ribs and available crockpots
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- Rub racks liberally with Rub ingredients
- Back for 15 minutes, flip, and bake for 15 more minutes
- Cut into 1/3's and put into Slow Cooker
- Mix Sauce ingredients and pour over ribs in Slow Cooker
- Cook on low for 6-7 hours (ribs should fall off bones easily)
- Set oven to Broil
- Cover a baking sheet with foil and place a raised grate on top of it (you don't want the ribs to touch the pan)
- Place the ribs on top of the grate with the curve facing up
- Pour 2 cups of the mixture in the crock pot into a mixing bowl, and add an equal amount of bbq sauce to the mixture
- Pour half this mixture evenly over the ribs and broil for 10 minutes (sauce should start to bubble and caramelize)
- Turn ribs over and spread the remainder of the sauce on top, broil for 10 minutes or until the sauce caramelizes
- Put a section of foil out, and place the finished ribs on the foil, cover with more foil, and allow to rest for 5 minutes
