History:

The Hippocrates-Class was a relatively easy cousin of the Miranda, Soyuz and Knox Classes, with heavy Phaser Firepower and mass Passenger and Shuttlebay capacity, the ships typically carrying a dozen Medical Shuttles for Triage in multiple terrains. Although some of them served as far forward in time as the Federation-Cardassian War of 2352-2366, most of them had been supplanted by newer Medical Ship Classes such as the Graceful, Olympic and Zebra Classed.

Noteworthy Vessels/Service Records/Encounters: U.S.S Hippocrates; - Prototype, assisted in medical attention to Gamma Phi Colonyn after Klingon Raid (2278), U.S.S Salk; - most prominent Medical Ship in the General War (2283-2284), U.S.S Peabody; - assisted in restoration following Mantiev-Chaniviev Civil War (2318-2321)
