History: The Bronzewall-Class was developed as a desperate system-defense platform, in addition to the boards rejecting at least three Monitor Classes, thinking Sublight Monitors far too obscelescent for 4Xe, and to escort Carriers, Command Cruisers, Explorers, and sometimes operate as Carriers, Recon Ships and Minesweepers, the ships being mass-produced from Andor, Tellar, Argelius, Sol II, Sol VI and Antares Fleet Yards at a combined rate of 25 per year.
Noteworthy Vessels/Service Records/Encounters: U.S.S Bronzewall; - Prototype, with five squadrons of Peregrine and Juday-Class Fighters, destroyed Trio of JH Fighters attacking Starbase 191 (2374), U.S.S Lighttarpaulin; - captained by the Bolian tactician Selix, guarded several secters of space near the Cardassian Border, U.S.S Michael's Shield; - crewed by mostly Napeans and Vulcans, destroyed forty Cardassian, Jem'Hadar and Breen ships, including renegades revolting after the war.
