History-
Developed for a more durable, well-armed weapons platform, as well as to use older, lighter, cheaper engines, the T-17, whose name translates to "Fierce Accomplishment" has been the first new class to appear over the UFP/Klingon Border after the Organians' "disappearence", and the vessels, fitted with two heavy Disruptors, and eight lighter Disruptors, all of which are short-ranged, extending out to 150,000 km, and unusually light and cheap compared to the potent KD-8 or KD-9 which could potentially have been used instead.
As of 2287, the vessels are quite responsive, and well-loved by their crews, and are produced at Mustaka Shipyards at a rate of 6 per year.
