INGREDIENTS:
BANANA BARS:
2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
¼ Teaspoon Salt
½ Cup Butter, Softened
1⅓ Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
4 Bananas. Medium Ripe, Smashed
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
8 Ounce Cream Cheese, Softened
½ Cup Butter, Softened
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
3 Cups Powdered Sugar
DIRECTIONS:
BANANA BARS:
Preheat Oven to 350°
Spray a 13 inch by 9 inch baking dish with nn stick spray
In a medium mixing bowl, beat butter and suger until creamy
Beat eggs, one at a time, into mixture
Add sour cream and vanilla and mix well
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and stir into wet ingredients
Add mashed bananas and stir
Pour batter into baking dish
Bake 35-40 minutes or until wooden tooth pick comes out clean
Remove from oven
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and cream cheese together
Add vanilla and mix
Slowly add powdered sugar and beat until creamy
Frost bars once cooled
YIELD:
16 to 20 bars (depending on cut size)
