Asian Soy Butter Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Stick Butter, unsalted

  • 3 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds, toasted

  • 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic

  • 2 Tablespoons Green Onions, minced

  • ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper, fresh ground if possible

  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Melt butter in melting pot over medium heat.

  2. Add sesame seeds, garlic, onion and black pepper.

  3. Cook until the garlic and onions are translucent but not brown.

  4. Add soy sauce and simmer for two (2) minutes.

  5. Baste while grilling. Be careful not to drip butter onto coals which may cause a flare up.

YIELD:

  • Approximately one (1) cup

NOTES:

  1. This sauce can be used on red meat, chicken, pork or fish.

  2. This sauce can be stored for up to a week in a refrigerator in a sealed glass jar.
