INGREDIENTS:
1 Whole French Style Country Bread (16 Ounce)
½ Cup Butter, softened
1 Cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded (4 Ounces)
6 Slices Bacon, crisp cooked, drained and crumbled
¼ Cup Green Onions, sliced
2 Teaspoons Yellow Mustard
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
DIRECTIONS:
Using a serrated knife, cut bread crosswise into 1-inch slices, cutting to but not through the bottom crust.
In a small bowl, stir together butter, cheese, bacon, onions, mustard and lemon juice.
Spread mixture on both sides of each bread slice.
Wrap loaf tightly in heavy aluminum foil.
Place loaf directly above medium coals.
Grill uncovered for about 10 minutes or until cheese melts and bread is heated through, turning once.
YIELD:
Approximately 12 slices
