A: The Festive Surcharge is a temporary, seasonal fee during the festive period. It ensures Shiprocket’s platform and courier partners are fully equipped to manage high shipment volumes without disruption.
Q2. Why is Shiprocket introducing this surcharge?
A: During festive season, shipment volumes surge across India. To keep your business running smoothly, Shiprocket invests in technology, system scaling, and partner support, while courier partners expand their delivery capacity. The surcharge makes this possible.
Q3. Is this permanent?
A: No. It is strictly temporary and will apply only from 12th Sep’25 to 12th Dec’25.
Q4. Who will be charged the Festive Surcharge?
A: It applies to all shipments booked on the Shiprocket platform during the festive period. This will vary depending on Plan.
Q5. How much is the surcharge?
A: The surcharge will be applicable per shipment based on plans, below are the details(exclusive GST):
Lite - ₹3 per shipment
Basic to Diamond - ₹2 shipment
Q6. Does it apply to both COD and prepaid shipments?
A: Yes, it applies to all shipments.
Q7. Is it courier-specific or platform-wide?
A: It is a platform-level surcharge, not courier-specific.
Q8. How does this benefit sellers?
