Taiwan Huayu BEST Program Short-Term Study Scholarship
I、Qualification
Current students from Pennsylvania State University (PSU), University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), University of Guam (UOG) and University of Maryland (UMD), Purdue University (PU), University of Pittsburgh (PITT)
II、Quota
Students for short-term study (2 or 3 months)
III、Benefit and Duty
Scholarship recipients will be awarded NT$25,000 per month. The scholarship awardees are required to study at the Mandarin Training Center (MTC) and participate in the “NTNU Hand-in-Hand International Companion Program.” Participants are required to take the TOCFL exam before arriving in Taiwan.

V、Required Documents for Application
One Letter of Recommendation from an instructor (The instructor referee should directly send the recommendation letter via email to huayubest@mtc.ntnu.edu.tw with the subject: Recommendation for Your Name).
Fill out the Application form.
Fill out the MTC’s Language Background Survey.
Please send both the Application Form and Language Background Survey to huayubest@mtc.ntnu.edu.tw with the subject: Your Name’s application for NTNU Taiwan Huayu Best Scholarship.
VI、Requirement for Test of Chinese as Foreign Language (TOCFL)
Participants are advised to reach ‘Novice 2’ before applying for this short-term study program. Scholarship recipients are required to take the TOCFL exam before arriving in Taiwan.
