Katelinh Vuong-Monroy

Katelinh Vuong-Monroy was born on December 6th, 2011, one of the main reasons why winter has always been her favorite season. Katelinh is a 13-year-old 8th grader who plans on being a published author in the future. Katelinh has been in journalism since her first year of middle school. She claims that she likes being in journalism because it has greatly helped her improve her writing skills and creative mind. A couple of fun facts about Katelinh are that she’s the youngest in her household, and she lives with her parents, her older sister Samantha, and her tabby cat, Smokey. Outside of school, she spends her time inside the house drawing while listening to music or writing her book series. A couple of fun facts about Katelinh are that she competes in Ju-Jitsu—she has participated in it for a little over a year and has won a silver medal for a competition—her favorite music genre is K-pop, and her favorite K-pop band is BLACKPINK. A goal that Katelinh has for the next year is to try to complete her first book in her series.
