Introducing Mr. David

When you walk into school in the morning and leave it in the afternoon, Mr. David is always there with a smile on his face, making sure that you walk to and from school safely and happily. Mr. David is a Student Supervisor and his duties are to make sure that the students feel like they are in a safe environment at school.   

For the long time that Mr. David has been here, he has certainly left his mark at Fitz. Having somebody with an optimistic attitude welcome you can create a great impact on the feelings of students. An anonymous 8th grader stated, "He has impacted Fitz by having a positive attitude and making people's day better." This shows that a greeting in the morning really can affect how students feel about walking into school, and maybe make them feel a little bit better about walking into a place they typically frown upon. Mr. Gomez agrees that Mr. David is very important to Fitz because "he makes sure everything is done safely." Mr. Gomez’s generous words demonstrate that during lunch, or after school while kids are going home, Mr. David is always making sure that everybody who is here (student or teacher) is safe and can enjoy being here the way he does.

Mr. David cares about what he does here at Fitz. Everybody can tell Mr. David enjoys his job here. An anonymous 7th grader stated, "He just seems genuinely happy to be here and to see that we have made it here safely. To see that as a student makes you kind of glad to be at school a little bit." Anybody and everybody can tell that Mr. David always seems to feel glad to be around the Fitz community. People can even tell in the little things he does, such as talking to students, talking to parents, and passing around candy to the kids that he talks to. Having such a positive mindset can spread to the students and make them feel an ounce better about being somewhere that usually can drain them. It also helps them feel like he just wants us to be joyful at school. 

Mr. David truly loves Fitz and its students. He enjoys what he does here at Fitz and cares for our students. Mr. David says, “I just really enjoy the people here; I think that's really why I do it.”  This shows that Mr. David truly loves the little community that Fitz has crafted. It also explains that he really cares and enjoys the people here. He does it because he enjoys the students and likes to be able to curate their mood for the day by simply welcoming them into the gates. He only wants the staff and students to feel happy and comfortable in this setting even if we don't want to be here. Mr. David really only wants the best for us here at our school.

Mr. David not only protects us but makes sure that we are glad to be here one “Hello!” at a time.
