2022 Back-to-School Night

Back-to-School Night took place at Fitz Language Academy September 1, 2022. Back-to-school night is an annual school event that helps fundraise money for the school and future events. 

It is important for parents to meet the teachers and get to know the school. Xochilt Olivera said, “I think this event is really positive for the parents and students because the parents should get to know the school better. I feel like it’s a good way to show them more about our classes and to know more about the environment here.” At back-to-school night, parents have the opportunity of meeting all of their student’s teachers. An anonymous parent said, “The teachers are good, and they seem very responsible and nice.” 

Back-to-school night can also be for teachers. Mr. Dishong said, “Back-to-school night has been great, and that the parents have been really positive and nice, and they've been asking good questions. It's been a fun night.” Parents and teachers both enjoy back-to-school night. 

Students also like to come to back-to-school night because they get to be around their friends. An anonymous student said, “I enjoy being here because I get to hang out with my friends. It's fun, and I enjoy learning.” Parents aren't the only ones who attend back-to-school night; students do too because they enjoy it. 

Back-to-school night for the 2022-23 school year was a success! Teachers enjoyed being present and getting to meet students' parents, while  parents appreciated getting to know more about the school and teachers.
