Jocelyn Romero was born on February 5th 2013; she likes her birthdate because the month is 2, the day is 5, and the year is 13. This is because they are all odd numbers. Jocelyn is the only girl in her family. She has 3 brothers (two older ones and one younger). She was raised and born in Santa Ana, California. She has been in her elementary school spelling bee two times in a row, but has sadly never won any of the two. Jocelyn prefers to be at Fitz than at her house because she gets to see her awesome teachers and friends. She loves to read books most of the time. One of her all time favorite book series is Anne of Green Gables. One weird fact about Jocelyn is that she is afraid of seeing or hearing people vomiting, which in shorter terms she has emetophobia. Every time she hears or sees it, her stomach drops. This also explains why she hates being sick. Jocelyn loves to read and watch history stuff. For example, she loves learning about the American Revolution, slavery, the Holocaust, Anne Frank, the American Constitution, and the gold rush. This shows why she likes Hamilton—because it covers the American Revolution and the American Constitution. One of her favorite quotes from Hamilton is, “I’ll write my way out” because it shows how when writing, you can overcome whatever is happening in your life.
