On Thursday, September 12, Ms. Trujillo, our beloved English teacher, was excessed from Fitz Intermediate, forcing the majority of students’ schedules to change.
Students were informed that Ms. Trujillo was leaving to teach at a different school. This heartbreaking news shocked students leaving them with grief. The change forced an immense number of students to have their schedules changed. A student said, "It was sad losing a teacher that was my favorite because she was very chill and was actually fun to be around, unlike the other teachers.” Students feel heavily impacted by this awful situation assuming what they are saying.
Teachers have also expressed their unhappiness about Ms. Trujillo’s departure, particularly because many of them have collaborated with her for several years. One teacher, Mr. Allen, was especially mournful about her leaving: “I was very bummed because she was such a positive person to be around, both with the kids and the teachers! I will also miss her saying the word ‘Paletas.’” This sentiment is shared by many, who recognize the void her absence will create in their daily routines. Another teacher who was sad was Mrs. Hudson. She said, “I feel extremely sad! She is a good friend, and I’ve known her for 10 years. If you ever have a crisis or need help or sympathy or a kind word, Ms. Trujillo will be there for you!” This shows that one person leaving will have a heartbroken effect on many people. She has known Ms. Trujillo for 10 years and that must be very devastating for her. Most teachers are very sad about this situation according to what they say. Since they have been working with her for years, they should be unhappy about her leaving, for Ms. Trujillo is kindhearted and positive. She has helped lots of teachers and has made their day.
This shows how one small action can affect a whole lot of people. Many people were upset by one person leaving. Mainly because Ms. Trujillo was very kind, helpful, funny, and full of joy and laughter. She was fun to be around and was easy to get along with. Many students loved her and said that her class was their favorite because of how easily she matched their energies with them. Sometimes she can be a little strict when it comes to talking over students or not respecting her, but she is extremely likable and joyful regardless of the situation. She has made many students smile and laugh so much that they wanted to go to her class and stay there longer. Even if her students have bad grades, she encourages them and always gives them a second chance or helps them. Overall, Ms. Trujillo is a wonderful teacher and person, students that had her must be extremely lucky because she is very entertaining and delightful. Her relationship with students and the teachers was unforgettable because of how special she was.
Students and teachers hope Ms. Trujillo will keep the same energy and make more students happy. The students that will have her are very lucky because she is hilarious and cheerful.
