Many students at Fitz follow spam accounts on social media where students and staff members are posted and sometimes ridiculed, and it's not okay. One way we can stop these accounts is by reporting them to a trusted adult.
Spam accounts are bad because they hurt students who may not know they were posted. For example, a spam account made fun of a student because of his haircut. Unfortunately, the bullying didn't stop online because no one stood up for the student. Many students went up to the attacked student and made fun of his haircut at school. This shows that a post on a spam account can spread to the real world. Jorge Huzair said, “The spam accounts should be deleted because they make fun of others and it's disrespectful. They only do it to try to get attention.” There is no point of spam accounts because they are making fun of others for social media likes.
Students create spam accounts in order to gain popularity. Jorge Huizar said, “There is no point in making a spam account because all they will do is just make fun of other students, the creators of spam accounts think they're cool.” Most spam accounts are created by students to make other people think they're cool. Students usually know who creates the spam accounts because the creator will tell someone and the message will spread around the school.
Spam accounts should be deleted because there is no purpose in making fun of others. Students should block or report spam accounts to a trusted adult. Another thing they can do is ignore them because they are trying to get your attention and spread rumors. The only thing spam accounts do is make fun of students and try to start fights. The best way to prevent spam accounts is not to follow them back and block them right away.
