Parents and students visited classrooms at Fitz Intermediate during Back to School Night onSeptember 2, 2021. Fitz opened its doors so that parents could see the environment the students are learning in.
The Back to School Night event was important because teachers loved seeing students come out of their shell with their families. Mr. House said, “I enjoyed meeting my students’ families. . . I loved seeing some of my past students and how much they have improved.”
Parents loved being a part of Back to School Night because they think it is important to know what is going on at school. Students were excited for their families to meet their new friends and teachers. A student said, “I didn't have any motivation to come tonight, but my mom said that I would regret staying home watching TV instead of going to the school events, so I came. I loved coming... ̈ Some of the students' siblings weren't so excited to come, but they were thrilled to see their past teachers and loved seeing how much the school has changed since they moved on to high school.
Overall, Back to School Night was an undeniable success! Mrs. Orozco, a Fitz parent, said, “I was inspired to come to Back to School Night because I wanted to see what I surrounded my kid in, and I was so impressed on how sweet, loving, and caring everyone was. Also, I liked how they do their best for the school and the teachers do great at their job.”
