What Is the Travel Club? 

Every year, Fitz students get the chance to go on the East Coast trip. This year, the trip is scheduled for June 4th, 2027. Miss Wiese, the advisor, is hosting the Travel Club, and she is very excited to plan and to see what's coming next!

Students should go on this trip because this allows students to go out and experience something new every day. 7th graders must pay $3,309, while 8th graders must pay $3,151. This trip lasts six days with lots of fun and memorable activities. This may sound expensive, but students don't have to pay it all at once. You also don’t need to pay it all either; you can pay it all by selling chocolates, fundraising, or collecting donations. Students have to pay all this money to cover special events, activities, or guest speakers—and that's what makes the trip unforgettable. Yes, this trip isn’t cheap, but it keeps the Travel Club going for fun and exciting adventures!

Not only is this trip important and educational, but it's also a way to express yourself. Miss. Wiese said, “Shared experiences and unique memories will always help foster a bond with others and also help us stay open-minded and curious.” These trips last almost a week and students say they don’t want to leave because of how much fun they had. Mrs. Chin, who went on this trip two years ago, said, “ It’s important to travel to learn more about the history that shapes our society, to be understanding of others, and it's fun to travel.” So in all, not only are students learning something, but teachers as well. 

Students go on this trip because they want to experience fun, educational places around the world. They love it because they get to visit Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C. Students go to the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, museums, etc. Students also get a tour of the White House and many other famous places. And it is amazing to come back and look at it and remember all the fun moments. Since this trip only happens once during middle school, students should take that opportunity!

The Travel Club gives students an opportunity to visit exciting places from all around the world and learn about their history. They do all types of things, such as new cultural foods and seeing new famous places. This year, Falcon students are well beyond excited to see what amazing, unforgettable memories they make this year.
