Falcons celebrated Halloween on Monday, October 31. Students were dressed in a variety of costumes, ranging from a maid to the face of Scream.
Students arrived at Fitz wearing different costumes. There were ghosts, sharks, scientists, and historical figures. Several teachers gave out candy to students. Evan Perez said, “Mr. Couch was giving out candy to his students and was dressed up, too.”
Some students, however, thought that there should have been more students in costumes. Hailey Morales said, “Dressing up in class felt pretty embarrassing because there weren’t that many people wearing their costumes.”
ASB held a costume contest at lunch. Students participated in the costume competition by choosing the winners. Seventh grader, Long Do, who was dressed up as a maid, won the contest. Students loved seeing the contest. ”I feel like the people know creativity when they see it, and I really liked his costume and I believe he deserved to win,” Said Xochilt Olivera.
After school, students went trick-or-treating. Naylene Bermudez said, “I went trick-or-treating this year with my family and I had lots of fun.” However, some students did not go trick-or-treating. Jade Ochoa said, “Trick-or-treating is getting more boring every year. I feel like I'm growing older and no longer want to do it.¨
All in all, Fitz students enjoyed Halloween.
