Creek in the Meadow

The Creak in the Meadow

There once was a creek in a meadow

I spent my time there in a laze

And where the water went to flow

Although I wondered, but never know,

I would cast my weary glaze;

Perhaps there was a waterfall,

Or maybe a simple pond;

I do not dwell if it is small

I just sit back and enjoy the squall

For the thought of it makes me fond

My mind is like an unsolved riddle,

I’m just looking for the key;

Whereas I don’t like to fiddle

But I'm stuck in the middle

About what it could possibly be.

One day I'll visit it I thought,

One day I'll know the truth;

Although it is the thing I sought

Tis not the day so I shant fraught

I’ll lay back and enjoy my youth.
