For many students here, Mr. Wingfield, or “Wing,” is their all time favorite teacher. On top of being an amazing teacher, Mr. Wingfield listens and has compassion for others.

Personally, if I ever needed a ear to talk to, Wing was always there for support. Throughout the years of knowing him, he has, and still guides me to be a successful student, and for many others here at Covina he also does the same. In our Covina family, he is deeply loved and appreciated, however Mr. Wingfield has recently encountered some medical problems.

Mr. Wingfield’s was born with Polycystic kidney disorder. Together, his kidney’s only function at 9%. This disorder has recently come to light and has become a problem. Luckily though, a transplant is on its way! But as we probably all already know, it is not going to be cheap…

Wing is going to be out of school for at least three months and his donor must take a leave from work as well. So if you care at all or even a little, help our dear friend Wing out! You can donate here.
