Twitter was founded in March 2006 and has up to 329 million users worldwide and 67 million users in the US. It's open to all ages over 13. Twitter has stolen the hearts of those who love to vent, joke, inform, and socialize. With the constant entertainment and content Twitter also provides latest news, keeping up with celebrities, sports, etc. Much like Instagram you can gain a following, post pictures, and add a bio. Like Facebook, you can post statuses, but with a character limit of 140. Also, you can keep up with things that are trending and big events, especially for current events here on campus like Yearbook and ASB.

If you’re a comedian, twitter is definitely for you. Most memes and funny posts that are all over the internet start on twitter. A simple opinion can go viral depending on how much people can relate and retweet. Which leads to reposting on other social media stages. You aren't limited to just funny pictures but also funny videos as well.

Now if you’re in need of a platform to vent, Twitter is the place. Twitter is full of people who proudly express their self with art, music, photos, and multiple tweets that express their feelings. You might also find those who are in the same situation as you.

Twitter is also a good source of information. With access to people around the world with different educational backgrounds, you have a chance to find out or be informed new things. There’s always someone who post how to properly use something that you may not have heard of.

Staying involved in school news can be accomplished by using Twitter as well. In fact, if you want to keep up with school updates or announcements you can follow @cardinalybk. You can have access to Yearbook updates and also Vermilion updates. You can also follow ASB @covina_asb, and stay updated on sports and school events.

Twitter, much like other ‘social’ media platforms, is a great way to interact with new people. People who you can relate to or as most post people on twitter say, you may be “living the same lives.” While also getting a taste of today’s issues with the news section and catching up on sports. Also keeping up with Covina High's Yearbook, Journalism, Football, and ASB. Lets not forget enjoying the birth of new memes and jokes before it hits the other social media platforms.
