1. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers have been elite almost every season since the 2010’s, and they’re going into the 20’s right where they left off. The Dodgers are coming off of an impressive 106 win season that was capped off with a disappointing first round exit to the eventual World Series Champion Nationals. Despite losing in back-to-back World Series, the Dodgers have remained the same in skill or even improved if you look at their statistics. After the addition of 2018 AL MVP, Mookie Betts, among others, the Dodgers are favorites to win the NL once again. They are placing Betts into a lineup with reigning NL MVP Cody Bellinger at the top of the lineup. That is gonna be fun to watch. The bullpen was improved tremendously and the lineup and rotation is filled with young prospects who have already shown flashes of star potential.

2. New York Yankees

The Bronx Bombers are looking better than ever. After suffering early round playoff exits the past couple of years with high hopes, the Yankees biggest weakness was pitching. That should not be a problem anymore as they added one of the games elite pitchers in Gerritt Cole and look to get their star-studded squad back healthy. The Yankees are AL favorites and it would be very fun to see a New York - Los Angeles World Series in October.

3. Atlanta Braves

The Braves have been knocking on the door for awhile now and I believe that this year they will finally get it all together. Ronald Acuna is a fun superstar and he has a very good and young supporting cast. The Braves did lose Josh Donaldson, but they added elite reliever Will Smith and outfielder Marcell Ozuna. The Braves have been fighting and I fully expect them to be a tough out this season.

4. Washington Nationals

The reigning World Series champs are back, and worse. The Nationals are not bad, but they did regress after winning it all back in October. MVP candidate Anthony Rendon fled for Anaheim and he was their best player last season. Howie Kendrick was World Series MVP, but he is old and the World Series was not a true showing of the player he is. Stephen Strasburg was brought back on a ludacris deal and they should still be expected to make the playoffs, but it will definitely not be as great as last year.

5. Houston Astros

Despite all of the cheating and sign stealing, the Astros are a very talented team. They were just in the World Series last season and haven’t lost any significant players besides the best pitcher in baseball last season (Gerritt Cole). Overall, I think the Astros will underperform because of the whole scandal that’ll be too much of a distraction. The team is still very great, but I don’t see another World Series anytime soon.

6. Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim)

The Angels have the best player in baseball. His name is Mike Trout. Mike Trout hasn’t had much help in his playing career thus far, but that is going to change this year. The Angels have paired trout with a top five player in baseball last season in Anthony Rendon. I don’t think Rendon will be close to the numbers he put up last season, but he will definitely be a huge boost to that lineup. The Angels biggest concern at this point has to be their pitching. You can only go so far in this league without a decent bullpen, ask the Dodgers.

7. Minnesota Twins.

The Twins are coming off of an impressive 2019 season and they added Donaldson, Rich Hill, Kenta Maeda, and Tyler Clippard among others.

8. Oakland Athletics

Assuming the A’s are healthy, they should be loaded as their lineup is full of sluggers. I fully expect them to make a playoff run and give every opponent a run for their money.

9. Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers lost arguably a top three catcher in Yasmani Grandal this offseason, but they should be getting back 2018 MVP Christian Yelich back healthy. The core of their team is still intact and they should be in the playoffs.

10. Chicago White Sox

The White Sox should be an exciting team this season, but they are also a new team after adding Grandal And Encarnacion among others. Expect them to fight for a wildcard spot this seasons.
