Getting to Know Our Assistant Principal, Dr. Jung

Mr. Jung is one of our newest administrators here at Covina High School. He got his B.S. in Biology and then got his M.A. in Science Education which drives him love for the STEM program.

Jung loves the family aspect that comes with our school being so small. He loves getting to know the students and loves to hear their stories, and he’d love for the students and faculty to get to know him as well.

When Jung was in high school, he was afraid to express himself. This is why he's always encouraging the students here to do so now. He failed his freshman year and got caught up with some influences that didn't let him be academically successful. Those influences almost made Jung drop out of high school. However, he found help in his guidance counselors and they put him back on the right track. Jung was able to them find himself again. He was even able to follow his dreams and attend USC and received his doctorate in Educational Leadership. Jung is now happily married to his beautiful wife and states that “his children are all the students of Covina High.”
