Powderpuff Predictions

This years Powderpuff game is being held on May 23rd at District Field at 6:00pm. It is $7 at the gate. It will be Juniors vs. EVERYONE. That means Juniors are up against the Freshman, Sophomores and Seniors.

The reason they did it this way is because there were so many juniors who signed up and the rest of the grade levels had the perfect amount to face them. There are many predictions for this event, especially because the Juniors are all alone against everyone.

The football boys have been coaching the girls almost every day for the past week and preparing the girls.

Our prediction is that it will be a close game, but the Juniors will come out on top. They have great coaches and the best athletes on their team. We think that the Juniors will take the win because they have a lot of players that can sub in and out of the game, so the team will always be prepared to play and will not have tired players. The other reason is because the Juniors have a lot of pride in their class since they are taking on all the other grades by themselves and they will want to win for their class.

We asked some students involved about their insights on the game:

Anthony Ramirez - Juniors Coach

When asked about the Junior team he stated “They are very smart, physical, determined and going to have fun at the game.”

He predicted that it’s going to be a 50/50 chance of winning. “It could go both ways.”

Penelope Jinzo - Junior Player

When asked about what the team is like, she responded with “We all get along really well and they’re very helpful.” She predicted that her team will take the win.

Kenzie Moreo - Freshman Player

When asked what it was like playing football she said, “Playing football is eye opening and you learn new things in different ways.” She doesn’t want to jinx anything but she thinks her team can win if they “execute the game plan” and remember their plays.
