Two boys from San Francisco named Ace Barcelon and Mikey Mendoza formed a band together called Acid Ghost. They write Indie Rock/Lo-Fi indie music that leaves a catchy rhythm lodged in your memory.

Their song “I Don’t Need You” is a popular song everybody knows and loves. Their top 2 albums are “Vacation II” and “Warhol.” My personal favorites from the “Vacation II” album are “Sandy Kim," “Ayce’s Song," and “New York.” The songs on the album are a mixture of chill and upbeat songs which you can choose from depending on your mood.

Their second album was also a success and is called “Warhol." It released in 2016, six months after “Vacation II” was released. “Warhol” has more calm songs than “Vacation II” because in “Warhol” you can hear Ace (the guitarist/vocalist) sing in a cool tone while Mikey (the drummer) play his drums low but still present and energetic. The “Warhol” album is based on what they were both going through when things were tough.

My favorites from the “Warhol” album are “Mistakes," “Right In My Mind," and “Henry.” These songs are more soothing compared to the other songs from the “Vacation II” album. Both albums are great, you should hear them out and listen to what they’re trying to express in their music as they mature as a band.
