Respawn Entertainment releases its “Apex Legends” on February 5th, 2019.

Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment’s version on the Battle Royal chain, has reached 25 million players within a week of its release; more than double of Fortnite: Battle Royal, which hardly had 10 million players in its first two weeks. Set in the same universe as Respawn’s other record breaking game, Titanfall, Apex has a character for everyone’s playstyle, and could become a serious competitor to Fortnite: Battle Royale.

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards was held on February 10, 2019.

The Grammys

Where the only thing important is music, The 61st Grammys was an iconic awards ceremony held, this year, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. 2019 and 2018 were monumental years for the music industry. The Grammys featured artists such as Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Donald Glover, Shawn Mendes, Post Malone, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, and many more music icons.

Frozen 2

Disney’s long awaited Frozen II’s teaser trailer was released the 13th of this month, and has already received 31 million views in just a couple days. The trailer features the original cast with two brand new characters introduced into the story. Fans already have speculations about the correlation between them and the plot of Frozen II.

Opportunity

What was originally planned to be a 90 day mission on Mars, Opportunity, nicknamed Oppy, persevered through a whopping 15 years on Mars, collecting groundbreaking data and achieving more than 28 miles across the distant planet. People all around the world were saddened to hear on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019, that NASA made its final attempt to contact Opportunity since it was last contacted on June 10th, 2018. A planet-wide dust storm had covered the planet, and the solar-powered robot was pronounced dead. Fans wrote postcards, wrote poems, and drew pictures of Oppy. Lets just say many tears were shed that day…

Bonsai

A Japanese couple’s two bonsai trees were stolen on February 12th, 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. The couple spoke out to thief, telling him that their only wish would be that they'd water them. The couple stated that they treat the trees like their own children. The two trees are more than 400 years old and survived the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima. Honestly, who could be this evil?

National Emergency

President Donald J. Trump declared a national emergency across the United States to fund the southern border wall. What is a national emergency you may ask? Well, a national emergency is a nationwide emergency; obviously, and is a situation beyond the ordinary that may potentially threaten the health or safety of inhabitants of a certain area. This isn’t necessarily the case in this situation, so there's no need to panic. The national emergency has already faced trouble throughout the country, as many states have gone against it, at the time of writing this article, 16 out of 50 states have defied Trump’s nationwide warning.
