Bun Street

On a school night, my friend and I went to “Bun Street” located at 180 S Glendora Ave, West Covina, CA 91790. It was recommended to us by some friends and we decided to try it out.

I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Fries (w/extra sauce), and my friend Emily is vegetarian, so she built her own veggie burger on a gourmet Brioche bun. The food was amazingly fresh and mouthwatering. When our food arrived, we were shocked at how large the portions were. Knowing that we would barely be able to finish out plates, we sset out to complete the “Bun Street journey."

Service was wonderful as well. There was almost no wait for us to be seated, and the waitress was always checking on us to make sure that we were satisfied with everything.

Far East Joint

After dinner, we needed something sweet for dessert. So we stopped at an asian cuisine restaurant called “Far East Joint" which is located about two minutes away from “Bun Street” at 1230 Lakes Dr #104, West Covina, CA 91790.

While looking through their intriguing menu we choose to share the chocolate lava cake. It tastes just as good as it sounds, with two scoops of ice cream, a slice of rich chocolate cake, and two chocolate pocky sticks all covered in hot fudge.

Because this dessert was extremely rich, we yearned for a glass of cold milk on the side to compliment the cake. It was truly decadent and filling. Service was great as well and our dessert was served to us minutes after we ordered it. The location itself was modern too compared to what you’d see in other asian cuisine restaurants.
