Ink Master is a show that focuses on tattooing. . The show first started in 2012 with 13 seasons. I remember watching the show as a kid, just being so fascinated with the creative tattoos. I've always loved tattoos going up. It's probably because I am a fan of art and tattooing is an art form. I always wanted tattoos growing up, but as of right now I'm not sure if I want them at this moment. Maybe later. Anyways, Ink Master is a competition show. In the first episode, there are about 20 contestants. Then, as time goes on each one gets eliminated every week. The elimination is usually one by one, but sometimes they'll eliminate two people in one week. It is a very high competition, with the winning prize being $100,000 thousand dollars and a feature in Inked Magazine. The show is judged by Dave Navarro, who is a guitarist in Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oliver Peck, and Chris Nunez, who are both excellent tattoo artists. The show features guys and girls from everywhere in the United States. There really is a lot of talent in each season I have watched. But of course, there are some horrible-looking tattoos! Every episode starts off with a ¨flash challenge¨ which is a challenge that tests the artists' strengths and weaknesses. On one flash challenge, the artists had to tattoo eyelids! Whoever wins the flash challenge has an advantage in the ¨elimination tattoo¨. The winner also gets to assign the canvases (people) to the artists. The elimination tattoo is really crucial to do well on. It's where the judges judge every inch of your tattoo and they don't hold back! There is also a human canvas jury who gets to judge everyone's tattoo. The human canvas jury are the canvases (people) that got a tattoo from the artists. Their vote is important too because whoever they think has the worst tattoo, gets to put the person up for elimination. When it comes to elimination, it's usually 5 people that come down. It consists of the winner of the elimination tattoo, three people who didn't do so good, and the person that the winner of the elimination tattoo gets to pick for elimination. Out of those five people, the judges pick one or sometimes two people to be eliminated. The stakes are high in this competition and the tattoo artists play dirty! Overall, the show is very interesting to watch. I enjoy looking at the tattoos and what the judges have to say. I recommend Ink Master to watch when you need some entertainment!
