Super Smash Bros Ultimate Review

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is a game released for the Nintendo Switch in 2018. It is one of the most popular games in the world for Nintendo and still is one of the most active games in the world. With hosting tournaments worldwide and having competitive online play still after almost three years of its release is a great accomplishment. Even up to this date new characters are added every month.

What is Super Smash Bros? Super Smash Bros is a fighting game with characters from all over Nintendo including the likes of Mario, Link, Kirby, and many more. Also many other popular characters make an appearance like Sonic and Ryu from Street Fighter. With over 74 characters in total Super Smash Bros is the top fighting game in Nintendo history and in video game history. There are many modes to play in this game. The most popular are Smash and Adventure mode. Smash is just a pick up and play against an A.I. or even against another player. In Smash the more you play the more characters you unlock. At first you start with the original eight characters and from there you unlock more. Adventure mode is like the story mode for Super Smash. The plot is that all characters are turned evil by the evil spirit and you have to fight them. The more characters you beat the more options you have to use in adventure mode. At first you only start with Kirby and after you unlock more.

Despite Super Smash being released three years ago it still remains one of the most competitive games. Even up to this date the online and competitive tournaments are still going strong. Nintendo has held many official tournaments and outside parties too. The best Super Smash player being known as “Mkleo." Mkleo is number one ranked by Panda Global and has won many tournaments. For the online side the characters are put in ranks. The best characters in the highest ranks are Pikachu, Daisy, Peach, and a few more. Characters are given ranks so online players can know which characters are better than the others. It wouldn’t be fair if a low rank would go up against a high rank character.

In conclusion Super Smash Bros Ultimate is another amazing game in the Super Smash Franchise. Ultimate is just a must have game for any Nintendo Switch player. This game is the reason why owning a Switch is a must. I give this game a score of ten out of ten. It really did bring a little bit of memories if playing the first Super Smash on a GameCube. I would recommended this game to everyone and trust me you wont regret it.
