Looking for something to watch while procrastinating your homework? Some new Netflix Originals and films have been added in the April month, and to be frank, these new additions would look real good on your list.
Released on April 1st, Netflix's new film, The Highwaymen is a dramatic thriller based the pursuit of the infamous Bonnie and Clyde in 1930’s America. Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were two famous serial killer lovers who rode across the U.S. and wreaked havoc across the country. Frank Hamer and Maney Gault were assigned to take them down as they were Texas Rangers back in the day. The two decide to work together to stop the couple. In my opinion, Harrelson and Coster play their parts very well, and I feel as if they were destined play these two historical figures.
On April 5th, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2 was released and fans are going wild. The show is based upon the comics by Archie Comics and is not to be mistaken with the 90’s sitcom, Sabrina the Teenage Witch. This show takes a dark turn into more of the dark magic and spells of the Spellman Family Mortuary. Set in the same universe as another popular Netflix TV show, Riverdale, CAOS takes place in the town of Greendale, just a skip and a hop away from Riverdale. Sabrina, throughout the 1st season, has her troubles of picking between the life of a witch or the life of a mortal, and fans can't wait to see where the shows takes the female protagonist in season two.
Open for viewing on April 11th, Black Summer is a Netflix Original based on the first few days of a global zombie apocalypse. Set in the same universe as another popular zombie TV show, “Z Nation," the show follows a different group of survivors trying to find refuge across the barren states as they face both the dead and the living. I myself have only watched the first three episodes, and am already hooked. The 40 minute episodes are addicting and perfect for binging.
From the creators of Man Vs Wild, You Vs Wild was brought to the Netflix Interactive list on April 10. This series follows Bear Grylls on survival mission on his own throughout the wilderness on planet Earth. But this time, you control his choices. You help Grylls survive the wilderness of forests, mountains, deserts, and more. These interactive shows Netflix has been adding have done well in the past, like Black Mirror's Bandersnatch, and I have no doubt in my mind You Vs Wild will be any different.
Just released on April 12th, The Perfect Date is the perfect romantic comedy you need in your life. To save up for college, Brooks, played by Noah Centineo, creates an app for a fake date chaperone, fitting into any personality the date desires. While on the job, however, he starts to develop feelings, and his plans for the future become complicated.
Other additions include titles such as:
I Am Legend
Monster House
Friday the 13th (2009)
Spy Kids
Kevin Hart - Irresponsible
Unicorn Store
and more!
