Do you have oily skin, dry skin, or maybe you have neutral skin?

Whatever skin type you have there's always a face wash to go with it. Our high school years are the years we are attacked by zits, black/whiteheads, and acne scars. We want to avoid all of that. With these tips and tricks, we can all make our faces a little more bearable.

  • Oily Skin is the WORST, but don't worry there are ways to control it: The first way is easy and cheap: you want to wash your face about twice a day with a gentle facial cleanser (I recommend Cetaphil).
  • If you want to spend a little money, I recommend toner as well, you can apply toner to your T-zone or oily areas. The toner will dry out the oil in your pores. Also, one of the most common treatments is blotting paper, although it doesn't completely take care of the problem it does remove the surface oil upon the skin.
  • Dry skin is actually the easiest to take of as long as you follow these guidelines. First, STOP taking HOT showers. Hot showers strips oils more than warm water. Next, when cleansing your face go for a soap free or unscented face wash. This is because some of the ingredients in the different washes will dry out your pores from the strong ingredients. Also if you normally don't have dry skin and you do now it's probably because of the winter so make sure you keep it moisturized!
